Team roles and account access

The team role ladder (Member, Content manager, Admin, Owner) and account access (Creator and Editor). Who can do what.

A team has two separate things that decide what each person can do: their team role and their account access. They are independent, so someone can be a Member with Creator access, a Content manager with Editor access, and so on.

Team roles: a simple ladder

Each role includes everything below it.

Team roleCan do
MemberUses Amelia. Sees and uses team assets (shared images, files, and notes).
Content managerEverything a Member can, plus adds, edits, and removes team assets.
AdminEverything a Content manager can, plus manages members, access, and billing.
OwnerEverything. There is exactly one owner, and ownership can be handed to someone else from the member's role menu.

Everyone on the team can see the Team Image Library (shared images everyone can reuse) and the Team Content Drive (shared files and notes Amelia draws on for everyone's drafts). Adding and removing things there starts at Content manager.

Account access: who publishes

Account access controls whether a person publishes to their own LinkedIn, and whether they take a paid seat.

Account accessWhat it meansBilled
CreatorHas their own account. Amelia drafts for them and they publish to their own LinkedIn.Yes, one seat (Team starts at 3 seats)
EditorCreates in other people's accounts. Drafts and edits, but does not publish. No account of their own.Free

So a Creator is the person whose LinkedIn the content goes out on. An Editor is the teammate who helps get those drafts ready. Editors are unlimited and free, so you can bring on as many helpers as you like.

Inviting people

From Settings → Team → Members, enter an email, pick a team role (Member, Content manager, or Admin) and account access (Creator or Editor), and send the invite. Anyone you invite keeps their own account and, if they are a Creator, posts to their own LinkedIn.
