Plans & credits
How credits work
Every action Amelia takes costs a small number of credits. Here's the full breakdown.
Credits are how you pay for the work Amelia does on your behalf. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance that resets at the start of your billing cycle. You can see your current balance and usage at any time in Settings → Billing.
What costs credits
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Generating a post | 1 |
| Chat message (back-and-forth with Amelia) | 0.25 |
| Generating an AI image | 1.5 |
| Quality / voice / hook check on a draft | 0.5 |
| Translating or repurposing a post | 1 |
| Generating a carousel slide | 1 per slide |
| Style or positioning analysis | 0.5 – 0.75 |
| Crossposting to X | 0.5 |
Monthly credit allowances
| Plan | Monthly credits | Roughly equals |
|---|---|---|
| Free (Explorer) | 15 | ~10 posts + light chat |
| Starter | 75 | ~3 posts/week with images |
| Leader | 375 | Daily posting with full quality checks |
| Rainmaker | 1,875 | High-volume posting + Opus-quality drafts |
Rainmaker uses Opus, our highest-quality model, for generation tasks (drafts, style analysis, alignment scoring). Opus actions cost 3× the credits but produce noticeably better drafts. Chat stays on Sonnet on every plan for fast back-and-forth.
What happens when you run out
When your monthly credits are gone, Amelia will let you know in chat and stop generating new content until your next reset. You have three options:
- Wait for the reset. Your monthly credits refill on your billing date.
- Buy a credit pack. A one-time 25-credit pack costs $5, useful for a busy week without committing to an upgrade.
- Upgrade your plan. Higher tiers come with more credits and unlock features like X crossposting and Opus-quality drafts.
Where to see your usage
Settings → Billing shows:
- Your current plan and renewal date
- Credits used this month, with a progress bar
- Storage used out of your plan's limit
- A button to manage billing in Stripe (paid plans) or upgrade (free)
A warning appears at 80% usage so you can plan ahead.
