What Amelia remembers
Manage what Amelia remembers
What Amelia remembers about you, how to see it, and how to edit or remove anything.
The Memory page is where you see (and control) everything Amelia knows about you. It's split into two tabs that answer two different questions:
- About you: what you've told Amelia. Declared intent.
- What you've shared: what you've given her. Files, voice memos, screenshots, links, anything you've dropped into chat.
The two tabs are intentionally different surfaces because they serve different purposes.
About you
This tab shows the direction Amelia uses to draft for you. The things you've explicitly said, like:
- What you write about (your role, your audience, your topics)
- The kind of content you want to publish
If this section is empty, Amelia hasn't learned enough yet. The fastest fix is to chat with her about what you do and what you want to write about. She'll update this automatically. You can also tell her directly: "Update what I write about, I'm pivoting to building tools for ops teams."
What you've shared
This is the searchable library of every input you've sent Amelia: uploaded files, voice memos, screenshots, links, forwarded emails, Drive docs.
Each entry shows:
- A one-line summary Amelia generated when it was processed
- The source (where it came from: chat, email, Drive, etc.)
- The format (PDF, image, voice memo, link, etc.)
- Topic chips when Amelia detected one
- A "Not categorized" badge if the auto-tagging hit a temporary error (the text is still saved and searchable)
Click any item to preview the extracted content Amelia kept. Hover any item to reveal a small trash icon. Clicking it removes the source from her memory permanently.
Filtering
Two filter rows live above the list:
- Topics: pills for each emergent topic Amelia has detected. Tap one to see only sources that match.
- Source: pills for chat uploads, email forwards, Drive, OneDrive, screenshots, etc.
Filters compose with AND. Selecting "Drive" + "Customer feedback" shows only Drive docs about customer feedback.
Removing memory
Anything you don't want Amelia to use, you can remove:
- Captured sources: hover, click trash, confirm. Gone from her library.
- Direction: say "clear what you've learned about my direction" in chat, or rewrite it directly.
- Conversation memory (the durable facts she's noted across chats: preferences, ongoing projects). You can ask "what do you remember about me?" and tell her to forget specific items.
Removed items stop influencing future drafts immediately.
What's not in Memory
- Your drafts: those live in Drafts.
- Your published posts: those live in Published.
- Your image library: that lives in chat under the image button, and in Memory as captured screenshots if you uploaded them that way.
The Memory page is intentionally about inputs and learned context, not outputs.
